Oh nuts

Coconuts *grins*.

Oh no, I didn’t grate them coconuts. My mom did. Had some photos of it. Don’t think that she would appreciate me putting those up here. Heh.

Well, all thing considering, we are doing alright. My mom is here for the night. She came alone since bapak had some matters to attend to with Ida. Oh no, mom is not here to accompany us. She is here because someone she knew passed away, and she is back to give her respect to the family.

But anyway, since mom is here, and since electricity is back on, I cooked simple dinner. I cooked chicken paprik. Easy one pot dinner for all of us. And scrambled eggs for Tia. Easy does it, eh?

I am of mind to cook spag for mom tomorrow since she had been asking for that like forever. Thing is, I am not sure that mom would eat something that she never had eaten before. She is quite a picky eater. It used to be that if she had not tried something before, she would not try it at all. Regardless of how you paint the food to be.

She lax a little after she remarried three years ago. One example would be eating dosa. She would never eat dosa prior to this point. But now, she had tasted it, though she would not ask for it, to be honest. But hey, at least she tried, right?

But anyway, mom would go home tomorrow. What? You think that she would be here for more than a night? You kidding me. Her husband is home. So she needs to be there. But at least Tia had one more night with her very much missed Mak Tok. What makes the princess happy, I am all for that.

OK back on the spag. I do have almost everything at hand, though it would only be bottled sauce. Yes. The travesty. Anyway, when I mentioned that the spag sauce would be tomato based, she chickened out. Asked me to cook something else for her instead. Haish. I would probably cajole her into letting me cook her the spag anyway… Told her that I added lots of chilli paste or powder to make it hotter. So… Hopefully she would try it lah, eh?

Wow. Two entries in a day. I must be on something. It must be the heat.
