Ferry and Castle….

Posted under New Users

After leaving the carboot sale, we were torn between going to East Ham for the husband’s dose of dosa at Chennai Dosa, or do what I wanted to do : get something over at Ikea Lakeside. No, I was not planning to shop till I drop, though today (I thought) was the last day for the Ikea sale. It turned out that the last day for the Ikea sale would be tomorrow, the 26th. Ah well…But I was going there to get some knick knacks anyway. So we dropped by Ikea , and out from the place within 45 minutes. Yeayy! Of course I did not take any pictures of Ikea nor the items I bought. We drove on to go to East Ham, and arrived there in time for lunch. There were two more parties queuing outside (yes it is that popular, and I will tell you why later). We waited inside because it was a hot day, being noontime after all, and just waited for like 15 minutes. And yes, you could call to reserve a table, or two for your party. Anyway, we were ushered upstairs, and yes this place is airconditioned. Thank God for that, because if not I would give it a pass. Then we ordered what we always order when coming here : 2 onion rava masala dosa and one plain dosa for tia (yes she ate them dosa, but not the accompanying coconut chutney, chilli sauce, and rasam). And of course the husband ordered the fried chillies (I don’t know what they are called, but that would be the only time my husband would eat chillies willingly). And I don’t know why, but I was so malu so I decided not to take the camera with us into the restaurant. I should have I know because their dosas are goooodddd. And each dosa with the sauces cost £1.99 . Yes, I kid you not. They are cheap. That’s why people flock this place (they have two restaurants at the same street in East ham. Try coming with a large party on weekends and you would be lucky to get in after 30 minutes waiting!)

And since I did not take any photos of either places (nor the food), I decided to make it come by taking photos of Woolwich Ferry. The service is free. Here are some photos of the ride. We take this ride countless times, especially when trying to escape the traffic. But I usually did not take any photos (just some of tia in the car while waiting for the ferry). Anyway… here goes.

Wait here….

Leaving the dock…

She was asleep. Bliss!

Another ferry coming in….

Driving off the ferry…

More pictures of Woolich Ferry could be seen here

At first the husband was thinking of going to the Millenium Stadium, but the princess was awake, so we scratched that and head to the nearest superstore to change her nappy and get something to drink. Closest one was Sainsbury’s, and it had Starbuck inside . The husband bought us something to drink, and we proceed home after that.

We had to pass Rochester Castle since we did not use the motorway. See, Rochester Castle is so close to our house, but I never felt the urge to take photos, until this day, that is. So the husband stopped, and I started walking around and snapping pictures.

Tersergam…..

Missing pictures?

Posted under System Announcements!

It comes to my notice that some visitors could not view the photos that I had posted in previous entries. This is due to server migrations and upgrades to my photo album. So, to rectify that, if you are using Broadband, please ensure that you re-boot your router (turn the power switch Off/On), and no, it would not effect any settings/drives and whatnots. And clear the cache in your browser.
If after doing so, and yet no photos could be viewed, fret not because usually it would take up to three days for your proxy servers to pick up the changes. (Technical term : DNS Server Propagation)
Please please do this because I want you to keep on coming here tee hee.

Thank you very much, and I regret any inconvenience this might incur.
